- I am married to my best friend. We once again have two, huge, drooling, loving dawgs. I have a job that I love most of the time. I'm blessed with awesome friends and family. I thought that what was missing was coming to terms with the fact that I am not going to be a biological mother. I realize now that I'm at terms with it, and am concentrating on being a kick ass evil stepmother, awesome wife, incredible friend and having an all-round meaningful life every single day.

Awww, your Rufus sure was a looker!! What a sweetie! and OMG....how much does Shelba (is that the huge one?) weight? Wow!!!

Thanks Tiffanni! Rufus was a babe magnet for sure...hehe. Barkley is the big guy. He's a Landseer Newfoundlad - the only type of Newf that has multi coloured coat. He weighs 160 lbs. When I first brought him home (he was a rescue from the shelter! Can you believe it???) he 'only' weighed 120 lbs which is actually quite underweight for his breed and size. Sheba is his 'little' girlfriend. She's a lab/rottie mix and weighs about 70 lbs herself - svelte chick that she is! We love them both dearly, although our house is a drip in drool from the Newf.
I second that awwww! You can tell just from that pic that Rufus was an intelligent and loving boy. How did you get those two to pose like that? So sweet!
Thanks Donna...love these dawg people who post comments! Our two dawgs are incredibly well behaved and trained thanks to my husband. They will sit and stay for what I consider to be very long periods of time, so posing isn't a big issue. They also listen very well so the "look" command helps with picture taking. And I agree that Rufus was indeed intelligent! I swear that dawg used to have conversations with me. I've loved revisiting my memories of him this week!
What a handsome boy!!! You can tell how special Rufus was just by looking at him.
Barkely and Sheba are naturals in front of the camera - can you get your dh to come over and train my dogs?
